  • Change shoes everyday or every other day.

  •  After bathing or showering, dry well in between toes before putting on socks.

  •  Use synthetic moisture-wicking socks.

  •  Cut toenails straight across, avoid digging into corners.

  •  Avoid medicated corn pads.

  •  When wearing high heel shoes exercise feet and ankles a few times during the day.

  •  When flying, exercise feet and ankle, on long flights walk and stand every hour or so.

  •  Prior to any exercise program, warm up and stretch.

  •  Take time to cool and stretch after exercise.

  •  Increase your activity gradually.  Avoid doing too much too soon.

  •  Stay hydrated by drinking at least two quarts of water each day, more when it’s hot or during exercise.
